About the Lodge

One of only two lodges located inside Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, set on a hillside with uninterrupted views over the forest canopy. Chalets are treehouse-style, scattered across the slope and linked by raised wooden walkways. Within short walking distance of the gorilla trekking meeting point in the Buhoma sector. L'Hoest's monkeys visit the gardens, and over 350 bird species have been recorded in the surrounding forest. Rooms are warmed with hot coals and hot-water bottles at night, and all overnight guests receive a complimentary massage.

Buhoma Lodge offers eight to ten spacious treehouse-style chalets scattered along the forested hillside and connected by raised wooden walkways. Each features wooden floors, local materials, enormous windows and a private veranda with uninterrupted views over Bwindi's canopy. Rooms include large comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot showers (some with bathtubs), solar lighting and natural bathroom amenities. On cool evenings, rooms are warmed with hot coals and hot-water bottles placed in the beds.
