About the Lodge
A peaceful, well-maintained eco lodge set on a bend of the White Nile about 20 km northwest of Jinja town, overlooking the river's first waterfall where the famous white-water rafting begins. The falls below the lodge are unaffected by the Itanda dam, so the sound and view of rushing water remain intact. Consistently rated among the best family-friendly lodges and restaurants in the Jinja region, it is solar-powered, uses hot filtered spring and rainwater, and is built with natural materials in earthy tones. From the terrace, guests watch fish eagles, otters, monitor lizards, monkeys and a wealth of birdlife over the river. About 24 km from the Source of the Nile and Speke Monument.

All are built from natural materials in earthy tones with private terraces framing panoramic views of the Nile, and come with imported spring-loaded mattresses, USB charging ports, en-suite bathrooms with hot filtered spring water, and free Wi-Fi. A levelled riverside campsite with BBQ facilities and a hot-water ablution block rounds out the budget options, and guests are woken with complimentary tea or coffee on their terrace.
